    • The University of Arizona Health Plans – University Healthcare Group uses a community rated premium schedule based on each employee’s age, gender, plan of choice and county where the business is located. Businesses will not be medically underwritten based on previous medical histories of the group.

      There is no mandatory contribution by employers for employees within a business. The employee, employer or a combination may fund medical premiums. We give you and your employees the flexibility to reach your own agreement on premium payments.
       
      The University of Arizona Health Plans – University Healthcare Group is a non-profit corporation and strives to keep premiums reasonably priced for small businesses. Premium increases have varied from 4–15% annually. Rates are not increased based on the experience of a single group. Plan premiums are subject to change.
       
      University Healthcare Group is not subsidized by the State of Arizona. The program is funded solely by member premiums.
